Meet the Characters

Betty

Betty, the original G-4 Prototype in her
Caring Corp. caregiver nursing uniform. She is the protagonist of all the Man-Made stories.

Dr. Kenneth Kerring

Prosthetist Dr. Kenneth Kerring had a goal of making lifelike artificial limbs that are comfortable and warm to the touch. He started the Caring Corporation.

Dr. Robert Kerring

Dr. Robert Kerring helped create all the Caring Corp. models along with his father Dr. Kenneth Kerring. He thinks of Betty like his big sister.

Leela Walker

Patient Leela Walker sits in her bed at Caring Corp. Hospice Center. She became very close with Betty and played a pivotal role in her future.

Jasper Coates

Jasper Coates, owner of Quality First is Dr. Kenneth Kerring's old college friend. He convinces his nephew Jimmy to hire a caregiver model.

James Simmons

Jasper hired CPA Jimmy to be Quality First Airline's Chief Human Resources Officer. He was sued one too many times, and hired Betty as a result.

Megan Coates

Jasper's daughter Meg becomes Betty's best friend. She had always wanted to be a flight attendant, and a spot opened up at her father's airline.

Betty Fourré

Betty, now working at Quality First, needs to have a last name, and adapts a French word that is close to G-4 model type. She becomes "Betty Fourré".

Flight Attendant: Roy Turner

Senior flight attendant Roy Turner became a good friend of Betty's. He admired her acceptance of diversity and would be a character witness at her trial.

Flight Attendant: Dawn Dey

Senior flight attendant Dawn Dey along with Roy helped to train newcomers Melissa, Megan and Betty when they joined Quality First Airlines.

Flight Attendant: Gita Brothers

Gita was one of the first attendants to work on commuter flight 63 from Albany to Des Moines. She introduced Betty to all the "regulars" on the flight.

Flight Attendant: Melissa Cosbie

Melissa always disliked Betty and talked about her behind her back. She was determined to sweet talk Jimmy into being a part of a devious plan she had.

Pilot: Gary Wilson

Senior Pilot of Quality First, Gary Wilson. Easy-going yet stern looking, he jokes around with Betty as she boards the plane on her first day.

Co-Pilot: Tom Grady

Co-Pilot Tom Grady first met Betty in the Caring Corp. Hospice Center, where she took care of his aunt Leela Walker. He recognized Betty right away.

Passenger: Burt Smith

Businessman in seat 6C on Betty's very first flight. He ordered a ginger ale and started sweating. He had a cardiac event and Betty worked to try to save his life.

Passengers: Helen Lowell

Helen pre-boarded with her baby girl and son Teddy who had a severe peanut allergy. Betty nicknamed the friendly toddler "Li'l Peanut" after a scary flight.

Passenger: Willard Hart

Willard tried to make the passengers relaxed during the hijacking. Although Betty convinced him that his jokes could possibly be offensive.

Passenger: Maccabee Schwartz

Civil rights attorney Mack Schwartz, a "regular" on flight 63 always sat in 5A. Sensing a profound sadness, Betty nicknamed him the "Sad Man".

Betty Fourré On the Way

Betty is out and about in civilian clothes as she prepares for her "day in court". It is the first time that she is not actively engaged in some sort of job.

Judge Richard Harrison

Judge Harrison presided over Betty's life- changing trial, held in the New York Supreme Court. It quickly became a media circus out on the courthouse steps.

Quality First Airlines

Albany International Airport, is Quality First's main hub. The crew room is near the check-in counter where the attendants and pilots clock in for duty.

Betty's Assigned Quarters

At Quality First Headquarters, Jimmy assigns Betty her quarters, where she will sleep and charge whenever she is not working.

The Sad Man

Betty notices the man in 5A and nicknames him the "Sad Man". Little did she know that he would play a significant role in her future.

Jimmy's favorite hangout, famous for their hot wings. Jasper met him there and planted the idea that would become the catalyst of Man-Made - One of a Kind.

News at the Wicked Chicken

At the Wicked Chicken, Jimmy learns another flight attendant is suing him for age discrimination, which prompts a call from Uncle Jasper.

Suspicious Pair

Jimmy and Melissa often meet at the Wicked Chicken. Knowing Melissa was fired from a previous job for theft, Meg and Betty try to keep an eye on them.
